Boys, take lessons, please!

I posted this on my Facebook about a month ago, so I thought I'd share. My dad loved it. He printed it off and placed it in his Bible...(if there's one thing that goes with my dad everywhere, it's his Bible:)

Most girls would never say or admit that they want to marry a man like their father (and probably rightfully so)...I, on the other hand, would be remorseful if I didn't.

He puts gas in my car when he uses it, he pays for my meals, he opens doors for me and most importantly, he gives me piggy back rides :p He watches our favorite tv shows with me, he makes me laugh and then he laughs at my hilarious jokes! He even gets pedicures with me :) He helps me eat my Oreo Blizzard and then he helps me work-out. He serenades me, corrects me, respects me. He apologizes to me, believes in me and prays for me. He leads me forward by example, he doesn't pull me or drag me down. He realizes that I'm an emotional woman and he doesn't use that against me. He treats me like a princess and he tells me I'm beautiful. He out worships me and without a shadow of a doubt, he'd pick Jesus over me.

With more than just words, he shows me that he loves me..

Thursday, I went to my sister, Alex's, house. For what I can't remember. But after she got off work (the lucky dog works from home), we walked to the Baptist church in town and had a quick little photoshoot.

I found this dress at a Plato's Closet in SA the first time I ever went. I love it to pieces!! Of course I paired it with my FAVORITE vest, LOL!

Gotta rock the TOMS :D

Wednesdayyyyy!

This is my favorite skirt right now. I bought it for in Austin at a thrift store and it's REVERSIBLE. Pink and Orange...Amazing! Such a nifty idea, haha. I wore it Wednesday and Friday :)

 I love my TOMS...but they do crazy things to my tan line on my feet! LOL

 I guess...Get used to the idea of seeing my niece, Alanya, in pictures. Haha. She's a ham.

Sophisticated Tuesday

One thing you'll quickly learn about me is that I love clothes...okay, I love CHEAP clothes. Okay, okay...I love the expensive ones too but I don't yet have the money to be shelling out for them! For now, I droll over Anthropologie's latest threads while shopping elsewhere...ah, one day...lol!

Last month, my dad drug me to seemingly every antique store in a 30 min radius of Castroville. I guess I'm glad he did because I found this dress for (drum roll, please) ONE DOLLAR! I instantly knew that I'd pair it with my "grandmother" sweater and finish it with my brown belt since it was a little big on me. My cousin, Tyisha said I look like a sophisticated young lady ;)

I got the shoes yesterday at Goodwill. I'm rather thrilled that Target donates all their unpurchased merchandise to them because I always find stuff for ridiculously cheap in just the right size :D

Again...not so great on the shoes shots. I guess we'll work on that tomorrow. So yeah, loved the outfit...it was WAY hot though so might have to save this outfit until Autumn!

Coming up next week: My outfits (head to toe) will be picked out by Tyisha. More about it later...but basically my older sister, Alex and I saw a blog where the girl let her boyfriend dress her for a week and another where her dad dressed her. I love the idea but seeing how I don't have a boyfriend and my father is in New Mexico, I'm having my cousins and my sister do it in the meantime! Only rule is I have to wear it (No matter what)! I'll be posting pictures the whole time so this should be interesting!! Stay tuned!! :D

Mustard yellow Monday

You should probably know that my favorite color is mustard yellow. I wear it every opportunity that I have...so when I was thrifting in Austin this weekend, I couldn't resist buying this adorable little vest. It helps that it was only a quarter! Check out Treasure City Thrift! By far, the coolest and cheapest thrift store I've been to yet!

These are my old lady shoes. Everyone makes fun of me for wearing them, but I love them. HAHA, I guess I could have taken a close-up of them. Eh, next time!

Oh and I have to thank my 13 year old cousin, Ayanna for being my photographer :D

Please forgive ALLL the wrinkles in my jean skirt. I have an aversion to irons. LOL :p

Here we go again (literally) ...

Wellllllll...I used to have a blog with a URL very similar to this one...BUT I accidentally deleted it yesterday! Believe me, it was a sad day...I almost cried because everything was gone but there's no use crying over spilled milk, right?! Right. So I sucked it up, made a new one and now here we are. I'll be using this for random posts, outfit posts, photography posts...basically, anything that strikes my fancy!
