Lent: NO TV!

So I’m going to fast TV for lent (no, I’m not becoming a Catholic, as Ayanna thought).

Here’s my rules and such, for accountability purposes:

1.       No turning the TV on; whether that’s for TV shows, movies, or video games.
2.       No watching TV shows online and no watching movies on my laptop. L
3.       No getting recaps from people, as that would defeat the purpose (I’m doing it both to free up time and to rid myself of the influence. TV is filthy and if you don't think so, watch it with a Bible next to you...see how much of what you're seeing is unscriptural and then come talk to me. And believe you me, I'm talking to myself on this one)
4.       With that in mind, I am able to go to the movie theater. However contradictory that might be, I’m not passing up the midnight showing of the Hunger Games J
5.       In the free time that I’m sure to have, I cannot just spend it on the Internet (per Olivia), I must practice the piano, guitar, sew, craft, cook (haha, stop laughing), etc, etc. As well as spend more time reading the bible and developing my prayer time.
6.       Added by Olivia, call my family at least once a week...which results in 4 phone calls a week: Mom, Dad, Dehli and Olivia. I think I can do this, hahaha.
Peace and blessings...peace and blessings (hahaa),

Tash

  1. Yay! I'm so excited to hear what comes about because of this fast! When I'm done with my fast I'll give you the books I've started and maybe you can write a little bit!
    Happy fasting (oxymoron?)

Oh and last year I adopted the term Flint basically its the Non-Catholic Lent. I forgot to tell you about it.

Happy fasting....yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh. ha jk, it hasn't been as bad as expected. I'm thinking about extending this Flint or just modifying more everything about my tv choices and habits.
