80's movie night #1: Mommie Dearest

Okay, my friend James and I are on a quest to watch 80's movies. Not necessarily the most popular or the best, just 80's movies. I bought a few DVD's at Target last week so we finally had first movie night. We started with Mommie Dearest...based on the life of Christine Crawford.

OMGness, let me just say that it was TERRiBLE. The acting wasn't great...the plot was chopping and slooooow...there were tons of movie goofs and errors. I felt like the whole TWO HOUR movie could have been easily condensed into a 20 minute mini-movie...that's how little the meat of the movie was. I get that the movie is from the memory of the little girl so maybe that's why it was so simple but eh, I wasn't feeling it.

Hopefully, this is not an indication to how the rest of our 80's movie night series goes!

One down, a million to go!
